I call my metal sculpture for the wall Living Work. Finishing with Renaissance Wax, allows the faintist amount of air to reach the metal so that it can breathe. In this way the patina is allowed to develop slowly over time. Unless the environment is changed radically, you will not be able to detect the change. Although I don’t use any pigment, my surfaces are often painterly looking because of the manner in which I apply the chemical formulas I make. It is this unpredictable process of exploring color on metal that excites me and drives my passion. Though I repeat shapes and forms, each of my sculptures for the wall are one-of-a-kind, because the textures and colors vary dramatically. Each is ready to hang with an easy to install french cleat.
